Director of Sales & Operations (Confidential)
Location: Greater Montréal Area (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Compensation: ~$160,000 base + performance bonus

We are partnering with a leading and rapidly growing owner-operator in the Canadian senior living space to hire a Director of Sales & Operations for Québec. This is a highly visible leadership role with a dual mandate: drive occupancy and revenue growth while ensuring operational excellence across a multi-site portfolio. You will play a key role in shaping regional strategy, elevating sales performance, and strengthening market positioning.
The Role
Reporting into senior executive leadership, this role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution, overseeing both sales and operations across multiple residences. You will lead regional performance by aligning sales strategy, marketing execution, and operational delivery, ensuring a consistent and high-quality customer journey from initial inquiry through move-in.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Commercial Leadership
- Develop and execute a regional sales and occupancy strategy aligned with growth, revenue, and margin targets
- Balance occupancy growth with pricing strategy and positioning to protect long-term value
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and performance metrics to inform decision-making
- Identify opportunities for portfolio optimization, repositioning, and expansion
Sales Performance & Execution
- Lead and optimize sales performance across multiple residences
- Implement structured sales processes, KPIs, and CRM-driven pipeline management
- Drive lead conversion through coaching, accountability frameworks, and best-in-class sales methodologies
- Build and strengthen referral networks and community partnerships
Operations Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operational performance across the portfolio
- Partner with Executive Directors and site leaders to ensure service excellence and consistency
- Drive operational efficiencies and implement best practices across locations
- Ensure compliance with provincial regulations and company standards
Marketing & Market Positioning
- Collaborate on and execute integrated marketing initiatives (digital, local, referral-based)
- Ensure consistent brand positioning across all residences
- Monitor campaign performance and optimize based on data and ROI
- Support online presence, reputation management, and local market visibility
Digital, Data & Performance Analytics
- Leverage CRM systems and reporting tools to track lead sources, conversion rates, and occupancy trends
- Use data to refine targeting, pricing, and sales strategies
- Drive a culture of data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing sales and operations teams across multiple sites
- Establish a culture of accountability, performance, and collaboration
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of key leadership talent
- Provide tools, training, and frameworks to enable consistent execution
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with leadership across operations, finance, and marketing
- Align on pricing, resident experience, and service delivery
- Support integration of new acquisitions and growth initiatives
Customer Experience & Quality
- Ensure a seamless and high-quality resident/customer journey from inquiry to onboarding
- Support teams in resolving client concerns with professionalism and urgency
- Maintain high ethical standards and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in senior living / retirement residences (required)
- Strong track record of driving occupancy, revenue growth, and operational performance
- Experience leading multi-site teams in a service-driven environment
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance sales, operations, and financial performance
- Experience with CRM systems, digital marketing, and performance analytics
- Bilingual (French/English) strongly preferred
- Ability to travel within the Québec region (Montréal to Bécancour corridor)
