Job Description
Work to Protect Wildlife and Save Lives in Our Canvassing and Field Manager Positions

Too many are injured or killed trying to cross our highways, and North Carolina is considered a high risk state for vehicle-animal collisions. We need to do more to prevent injuries and death caused by animal vehicle collisions.
Environment North Carolina is calling on our state to fund wildlife crossings like bridges, tunnels and fences to give wildlife a safe place to cross our highways. We’re hiring canvassers and field managers in our Chapel Hill office to educate the public about this issue, raise critical funds, and generate the visibility necessary to influence local decision-makers.
As a canvasser this summer you will:
- Educate and engage citizens on a campaign to make real change on pressing environmental and public interest issues
- Develop essential communication and political advocacy skills
- Build membership and raise money for nonprofit groups in your community
- Earn leadership opportunities, supervising and managing staff in the field
- Gain the experience and connections needed to launch your career in nonprofit and policy work
We are looking for:
- We are seeking hard-working individuals with good communication skills and a passion for social change. We are hiring full-time staff only.
