Position Overview

As an Outside Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving business growth within your territory by supporting both existing customers and developing new OEM opportunities. Working closely with customer engineering teams, you’ll identify and recommend the right electro‑mechanical solutions, provide technical insight, and help guide new products from concept through production. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys blending technical expertise with business development, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is motivated to take ownership of and grow their territory.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and execute a territory growth strategy

· Build strong relationships with OEM engineering and purchasing teams

· Conduct face-to-face customer visits and technical presentations

· Support customers with product selection and application guidance

· Coordinate joint visits with factory engineers and product specialists

· Manage opportunities and follow-up using CRM/sales automation tools

· Travel to manufacturer facilities and training sessions when required

· Represent EMT and our partners at industry events and trade shows

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

· 2 years of successful technical sales experience (or strong interest in technical sales)

· Strong communication and analytical skills

· Results-driven with a high level of initiative and urgency

· Ability to build relationships with engineering and technical teams

· Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset

· Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
