Location: Indore

Position Summary
West Pioneer India is hiring a Legal Manager / Legal Counsel with strong experience in mall and retail real estate. The role involves managing litigation and non-litigation matters, supporting leasing and operations teams, and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across mall operations.
Key Responsibilities1. Litigation Management
- Handle litigation related to:
- Tenant disputes, consumer complaints, civil & commercial suits
- Arbitration, recovery, and regulatory matters
- Coordinate with external advocates and law firms
- Track case progress, filings, and hearings
- Draft legal documents: notices, affidavits, pleadings, replies
- Support dispute resolution, mediation, and settlements
2. Non-Litigation & Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate:
- Lease Deeds & Leave & License Agreements
- MOUs, NDAs, and commercial agreements
- Vendor and facility management contracts
- Manage tenant lifecycle documentation:
- Onboarding, renewals, exits, amendments
- Vet agreements related to:
- Marketing, branding, fit-outs, and mall services
3. Mall & Real Estate Legal Support
- Provide advisory on:
- Property and tenancy laws
- Retail leasing frameworks
- Mall operational legal issues
- Ensure compliance in:
- Signage, branding, parking usage
- CAM (Common Area Maintenance) matters
- Support leasing and operations teams on legal queries
4. Compliance & Regulatory
- Ensure compliance with:
- Property laws, contract laws
- Local municipal regulations
- RERA and real estate norms
- Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies
5. Risk Management & Advisory
- Identify legal risks in transactions and operations
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to internal legal policies and SOPs
Desired Candidate Profile
- LLB from a recognized institution
- 8–9 years of post-qualification experience
- Mandatory experience in mall / retail real estate
- Strong exposure to litigation and contract management
- Expertise in lease documentation and commercial agreements
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹399,056.28 - ₹1,528,439.60 per year
