Role Summary

EmerDepot is seeking a dynamic, creative, and detail-oriented Performance Growth Manager – Social Media, Google Ads & SEM to lead digital growth initiatives and strengthen the company’s online presence.

This is a contract role based in Canada for someone who can take real ownership of growth marketing, paid media, content direction, and social execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and managing social media strategies, optimizing Google Ads and SEM campaigns, overseeing content and feed coordination, and using data-driven insights to support customer acquisition, brand growth, and revenue performance.

This role is not limited to posting content. It requires a hands-on growth marketer who can manage campaigns, guide creative execution, analyze performance, and coordinate with internal teams to drive measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage social media marketing strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant channels
  • Lead and optimize Meta / Facebook / Instagram marketing initiatives
  • Build, manage, and improve Google Ads campaigns, including Search, Shopping, remarketing, and other SEM initiatives
  • Support RED / Xiaohongshu / Redbook strategy and content direction for Chinese-speaking audiences
  • Coordinate feed strategy and content distribution across social and digital channels
  • Plan and guide short-form video, visual content, ad creatives, captions, and campaign messaging
  • Conduct keyword research and trend analysis to identify opportunities for SEO, SEM, and content performance
  • Monitor and analyze campaign results using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Ads Manager, and SEMrush
  • Improve targeting, bidding, creative performance, CTR, CPA, conversion rate, ROAS, and overall campaign ROI
  • Manage paid media budgets effectively to ensure efficient resource allocation and strong performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams across backend, content, operations, and marketing to align execution with business goals
  • Track competitors, industry trends, and digital platform changes to identify growth opportunities
  • Provide performance reports, insights, and recommendations to support ongoing business growth

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, growth marketing, social media, Google Ads, and Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
  • Strong experience managing social media campaigns and paid advertising across major digital platforms
  • Proven expertise in Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and campaign optimization
  • Strong knowledge of SEO principles, keyword research, content optimization, and performance marketing
  • Experience using Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, and related marketing tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and make performance-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong project management and execution ability, with the capacity to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines
  • Creative, strategic, proactive, and able to think outside the box
  • Sales-oriented mindset with a clear understanding of growth, conversion, and revenue generation
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required
  • French and additional languages are strong assets
  • Experience in ecommerce, healthcare, medical supplies, clinics, wellness, or esthetics is a strong advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Communications, or a related field is preferred

  • Ability to work closely with EmerDepot’s team and support growth initiatives from within Canada
