Job description
Who We Are:
At Emburse, you’ll not just imagine the future – you’ll build it. As a leader in travel and expense solutions, we are creating a future where technology drives business value and inspires extraordinary results. Our AI-powered platform helps organizations modernize financial operations, increase visibility, and optimize spend across the enterprise.
At Emburse, we are scaling fast, and our Go-To-Market engine relies on a robust, scalable, and highly efficient tech stack. We are seeking a Lead Salesforce Platform Administrator to serve as the ultimate operational owner and strategist for our Salesforce platform stability, security, and continuous improvement across our critical Lead-to-Cash ecosystem.
This isn't a role for a passive maintainer. As the Lead Administrator, you will own the day-to-day health of our core CRM, lead declarative strategy, champion enterprise-grade security, and partner closely with architects and developers on enterprise-wide enhancements. If you thrive in fast-paced SaaS environments, love untangling complex process workflows, and pride yourself on building scalable, declarative architecture, we want you on our team.
What You Will Do
Own the Platform: Serve as the primary, high-level administrator and technical escalation point for Salesforce platform configuration, support, and operational health.
Architect Declarative Solutions: Design and implement highly scalable declarative configurations (Advanced Flows, Validation Rules, Dynamic Forms) that minimize technical debt.
Enforce Governance & Security: Oversee user provisioning, complex role hierarchies, sharing models, and permission sets in strict alignment with enterprise security and compliance standards.
Drive Release Management: Partner with QA and DevOps to lead testing, release validation, sandbox coordination, and deployment processes using modern CI/CD tools (e.g., Copado, Flosum, Git).
Triage & Optimize: Manage Tier 1/2 escalation flows, identify recurring platform defects or friction points, and implement durable, long-term fixes rather than band-aids.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate deeply with RevOps, Sales, Finance, and Business Systems leaders to ensure Salesforce seamlessly integrates with tools like NetSuite, BillingPlatform, DocuSign, LeanData, and Marketo.
Mentor & Document: Set the standard for documentation (runbooks, configuration records, release notes) and provide guidance/mentorship to other administrators on the team.
What You Will Bring
The Experience: 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience in a complex, integrated B2B SaaS or enterprise environment.
Technical Mastery: Advanced expertise in Salesforce declarative tools—specifically complex Flow building, security architecture, and access management.
Ecosystem Knowledge: Strong exposure to the Lead-to-Cash lifecycle and a solid understanding of how Salesforce configuration impacts downstream financial and billing systems.
Release Discipline: Direct experience participating in structured release cycles, sandbox strategies, and deployment validation.
The Credentials: Active Salesforce Certified Administrator required; Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder certifications strongly preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
Who You Are
A Pragmatic Problem Solver: You know exactly when to build with native Salesforce configuration and when a request requires escalating for custom development or an architectural rethink.
An Operational Anchor: You excel under the healthy pressure of a fast-growing company, balancing urgent day-to-day support requests with long-term platform integrity.
An Excellent Communicator: You can explain complex Salesforce logic to a finance stakeholder and translate business requirements into clean technical specs for a developer.
A Guardian of Data & Process: You are disciplined about change management, documentation, and data governance—you hate "cowboy coding" in production.
