Role Description The Telecommunications Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Trivandrum. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining telecommunications systems, including voice, data, and network communication platforms. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring system performance, diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure stable, high-quality service. The specialist will respond to user requests, provide guidance on telecom usage and features, and document configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions. The role also involves participating in upgrades, supporting system integrations, implementing security and compliance standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of telecom infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Telecommunications Systems and core Telecommunications concepts, including voice, data, and network communication technologies.
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting telecom-related issues, including fault isolation, incident diagnosis, and root cause analysis.
• Effective Communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clear documentation and status reporting.
• Commitment to high-quality Customer Service, with the ability to handle inquiries, manage expectations, and provide user training or guidance.
• Experience with telecom hardware and software tools, such as PBX, VoIP platforms, SIP trunks, call routing, and monitoring systems.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS) and basic security practices related to communication systems.
• Ability to work on-site in Trivandrum, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., in VoIP, networking, or vendor-specific telecom platforms) are an advantage.
