Onsite in Washington, DC

The organization seeks a Sr. Software Developer III to design, build, and deliver secure, reliable enterprise software for a mission-critical federal environment. The role requires deep expertise in C#, .NET, and modern web frameworks, along with strong knowledge of secure coding, CI/CD, and containerization. You will troubleshoot production issues, modernize applications, and communicate solutions to diverse stakeholders. Your contributions will support national-level operations with a focus on security, resilience, and operational excellence.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Qualified applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis.

Salary: $184,000 - $225,000/ yr. w2

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Work as part of a collaborative, high-performing team delivering technical solutions for mission-critical federal government systems.
  • Support O&M and design, develop, and modernize custom enterprise applications.
  • Apply secure coding practices across all phases of development.
  • Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies including planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Support and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
  • Communicate technical decisions and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence through technical expertise and professionalism.
  • Use creativity and innovation to deliver solutions that meet customer and mission needs.

Experience Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret with current or previously held SCI access.
  • Certification meeting DoD 8140 such as Security+ or higher.
  • Azure Developer Associate, AWS Developer Associate, or recent and relevant software development certification.
  • 10+ years of professional software development experience building, testing, and maintaining enterprise applications in mission-critical environments.
  • Expertise in C#, .NET, .NET Framework, Entity Framework, and development using ASP.NET including WebForms, MVC, and REST APIs.
  • Front-end experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, and Angular and/or React.
  • Back-end experience with database development and administration including SQL Server and T-SQL.
  • Experience with source code management tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, or GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization using Docker.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, PowerShell scripting, IIS hosting, Kerberos, and OIDC authentication.
  • Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up in a dynamic, mission-critical environment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
  • Security+ certification or higher.
  • Azure Developer Associate certification.
  • AWS Developer Associate certification.
