We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to spearhead the expansion of our product portfolio through a strategic alliance with a premier Chinese manufacturer. This role is your opportunity to crucially link engineering, regulatory, and cross-functional aspects while collaborating effectively with executive-level stakeholders.

Rate: $100.00 to $110.00/hr. W2

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical projects/programs aimed at advancing our respiratory care product offerings through strategic partnerships.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between our organization and a Chinese manufacturing partner.
  • Convert business and product requirements into accurate technical specifications and documentation.
  • Oversee all stages of the product lifecycle, from design and development to technical reviews and regulatory preparations.
  • Contribute to 510(k) activities, including creating technical documentation and regulatory submissions.
  • Work closely with Product Portfolio, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, and Business Development teams to ensure alignment between technical execution and strategic objectives.
  • Manage dependencies across internal and external teams through effective communication and progress tracking.
  • Engage non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership, translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrate cultural and geopolitical awareness to foster effective collaborations with international partners.
  • Assist in assessing future partnership opportunities regarding their technical feasibility and integration.
  • Travel as required domestically and internationally to support partnership and technical alignment initiatives.

Experience Requirements:

  • Significant project/program management experience in the medical device sector.
  • Hands-on experience with 510(k) submissions and navigating regulatory challenges.
  • Technical background with expertise in systems, mechanical, or electrical domains.
  • Proven ability to translate requirements into technical specifications while managing design and development processes.
  • Experience in navigating complex stakeholder environments, both internally and externally.
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills with the capacity to prioritize cross-organizational goals.
  • Effective communication with both technical teams and non-technical executive leadership.
  • High cultural intelligence and experience working with international teams.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 3-4 weeks annually.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is required.
  • Preferred: Experience working directly with Chinese medical device manufacturers.
  • Preferred: Background in supporting portfolio expansion or co-development initiatives.
  • Preferred: Expertise in managing distributed product models or international regulatory strategies.
