We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Cloud Platform Engineer who is passionate about creating scalable, cloud-native systems. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of complex features, working across backend services, frontend applications, and infrastructure. You will design and deploy production-ready solutions on AWS, collaborating closely with product, QA, and operations teams while maintaining a high standard of individual responsibility.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Salary:

$180,000-210,000 yr. w2 + Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support scalable backend services in AWS.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical designs for large-scale cloud deployments.
• Develop and maintain services using Node.js and related backend technologies.
• Work on database design and optimize PostgreSQL query performances.
• Implement and test infrastructure-as-code using AWS CDK.
• Build and maintain user-friendly frontend applications using React.
• Contribute to mobile app development with React Native for Android and iOS.
• Write software components in JavaScript/Node.js, Python, Rust, and C/C++ as necessary.
• Ensure high quality in code, testing, reliability, and security protocols.
• Actively collaborate with product, QA, and operations teams while upholding strong ownership of your projects.
• Manage development, testing, deployment, and production readiness for the tasks assigned to you.

Experience Requirements:

• Proven staff-level software development experience in building cloud-based systems.
• In-depth knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud architecture.
• Expert understanding of AWS services and cloud-native design principles.
• Experience creating and maintaining AWS CDK scripts.
• Strong expertise in IP networking, including TCP/IP and related protocols.
• Hands-on experience across the full stack:

backend, frontend, and infrastructure.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a self-motivated work ethic.
• Experience with managing large-scale production cloud platforms is preferred.
• Familiarity with IoT, device integrations, or data-intensive systems is a plus.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments is desirable.
• Experience in performance tuning and observability in cloud environments is encouraged.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
