OVERVIEW

The Motion Graphics Designer / Animator supports the Programming team by creating motion-driven content that enhances the in-room and broadcast worship experience. This role focuses on designing and animating visuals that translate seamlessly across LED, broadcast, and digital platforms-helping communicate the message with clarity and excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create motion graphics and animation for weekend worship experiences, broadcast programming, and live events
• Design and build visual elements for LED walls, screens, and broadcast packages (lower thirds, transitions, loops, and backgrounds)
• Translate creative direction into motion systems that work across multiple formats and screen environments
• Collaborate with Programming, Creative Directors, Video, and Production teams to execute cohesive visual experiences
• Prepare and optimize content for live playback systems and broadcast delivery
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment tied to weekly programming cycles
• Contribute to concept development and bring ideas that elevate the overall worship experience
• Ensure all motion content aligns with brand standards and enhances storytelling without distraction

MUST-HAVES

• Active participation in a church (we look for a lifestyle of inviting people to church, volunteering, generosity, and prioritizing community)
• Strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics and animation, especially in live or broadcast environments
• Proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Strong understanding of typography, composition, timing, and visual hierarchy in motion
• Ability to design for multiple screen formats (LED, IMAG, broadcast, social)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage deadlines and deliver high-quality work on a weekly schedule

NICE-TO-HAVES

• Experience working in a non-profit or ministry setting
• Experience designing for live production environments or church programming
• Familiarity with broadcast workflows and live playback systems (ProPresenter, Resolume, Ross, etc.)
• Experience with Cinema 4D or other 3D tools
• Understanding of camera framing and how motion graphics interact with live video

Day-to-Day:

• We're a Sunday-Thursday work environment. Monday-Thursday, we're in the office (8:30AM - 5PM); on Sunday, we're supporting the weekend worship experience either directly in our roles or by choosing a weekly serving opportunity at one of our Elevation Church campuses.
• There's a lot to accomplish each week, so we're pretty fast-paced. We're also not afraid to pivot a strategy or project quickly to meet the needs of the weekend - adaptability is a key competence for us.
• Yes, we work hard. But we're good at playing hard, too. We're a creative staff, so there's no shortage of activities around our offices to have some fun!
