Lead Engineer - DevOps (India)

Elevate is looking for a skilled and experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team as a lead. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS cloud services, infrastructure automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and system monitoring. You will work closely with the development and operations teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud infrastructure.

Specifically, the Lead Engineer - DevOps will Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible. Develop, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or AWS Code Pipeline. Design and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, including VPCs, EC2 instances, RDS, S3, Lambda functions, and more.

Set up and manage monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana to ensure system reliability and performance. Implement security best practices in AWS, including IAM role management, security groups, and data encryption. Automate routine tasks, including server provisioning, software deployments, and configuration management.

Work closely with software developers and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of applications and services. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup strategies to ensure business continuity. Monitor AWS resource usage and recommend cost-effective strategies.

Quickly identify and resolve issues within the AWS environment and deployed applications.

Experience 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud services and DevOps practices. Proven experience with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. Strong experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, or AWS Code Pipeline.

Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or Shell scripting).

Technical Skills

Deep understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, CloudFront, etc.). Strong knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Proficiency in using monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK Stack). Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in AWS.

Qualifications Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing. Knowledge of database administration, both SQL and NoSQL. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect is a plus.
