Role Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Aftersales Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and operational excellence once the initial sale is finalized. You will act as the primary technical bridge between our factory solutions and the end-user, managing the post-sales lifecycle with precision and a customer-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- After-Sales Project Management: Take full ownership of projects immediately following the sales team’s handoff, ensuring a seamless transition for the client.
- Engineering Submittals: Prepare, review, and manage technical submittals for equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Field Support & Troubleshooting: Conduct site visits to diagnose and resolve issues with boilers and complex control systems.
- Technical Reporting: Document site visits, findings, and corrective actions through detailed, professional reports.
- System Programming: Perform hands-on programming of boiler controllers to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Design & Documentation: Develop and maintain accurate piping diagrams and technical schematics using AutoCAD.
- Customer Advocacy: Serve as the main point of contact for all after-sales inquiries, including parts requests, technical support, and troubleshooting.
- Training: Travel as required to participate in advanced technical training programs to maintain expertise on the latest factory equipment and control technologies.
- Regional Coverage: Provide comprehensive technical support and on-site service throughout the province of Ontario.
Qualifications
- Education in mechanical engineering, HVAC, or a related technical field.
- 2–6 years of professional experience within the HVAC industry.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and AutoCAD are mandatory.
- Self-Management: Proven ability to manage your own schedule, prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Customer Service Excellence: Exceptional communication skills with a focus on building long-term, trust-based relationships with clients.
