IT Support - Hardware & Desktop

Role Overview:

You are being hired as an IT Hardware & Desktop Support Engineer for a long-term contract position based in Chennai. As part of your role, you will be responsible for providing technical support related to IT hardware and desktop systems. Your daily tasks will involve collecting devices from the warehouse, visiting client sites for onsite part replacement, and resolving hardware issues. Freshers are also welcome to apply for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily ticket assignment: You will be assigned 5-6 calls per day.
• Device Collection: Responsible for collecting devices from the warehouse.
• Onsite Visits: Visit respective client sites for onsite part replacement and issue resolution.
• Process Adherence: Must follow standard processes and documentation protocols for ticket closures and hardware replacements.

Qualification Required:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in a Computer-related discipline and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience OR Diploma in a Computer-related discipline and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Skills & Experience:
• Trained on Desktop, Portable, and Workstation latest technologies both hardware & software.
• Hands-on experience in hardware installation and troubleshooting.
• Capable of handling Network Interface Cards, Removable media devices, Optical Drives, Tape Backup Units, RAID Setup on PC, and other associated peripherals.
• Must own a two-wheeler (Bike) for commuting between client sites.
