You are a Lead / Senior-level mobile frontend engineer with real experience in shipping and operating production mobile apps with React Native. You will be responsible for developing mobile applications, handling store builds and releases, fixing post-release bugs, and improving stability. Additionally, you will propose design and architecture improvements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, take ownership of features, and gradually participate in technical decision-making.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop mobile applications using React Native (Expo)
- Handle iOS / Android store builds and releases
- Fix post-release bugs and improve stability
- Implement with performance and reliability in mind
- Propose frontend-driven design and architecture improvements
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX, PM, and backend engineers
- Take clear ownership of assigned features
- Gradually participate in technical decision-making as the role grows
**Qualifications Required (Must-Haves):**
- Shipped at least one mobile app to production using React Native
- Hands-on experience with Expo
- Experience with App Store / Play Store submission and review
- Strong React Native fundamentals
- Comfortable debugging on real devices
- Able to work independently with minimal hand-holding
**Explicitly Not a Fit:**
- No experience shipping a mobile app to the App Store or Play Store
- Have not personally handled store releases
- Strongly opposed to working within Expo constraints
- Requires detailed task-by-task instructions to proceed
**Nice to Have:**
- Experience with Expo EAS
- Experience with OTA updates via Expo Updates
- Experience with bare workflow or custom native modules
- Basic knowledge of Swift or Kotlin
- Experience with mobile CI/CD
- Startup or fast-paced product development experience
The role is part-time (20 hours per week) and fully remote. Compensation is around USD 1,000-1,500 per month, reviewed as responsibilities expand. The project scope includes core mobile feature development, UX improvements, release cycles, and architectural improvements. A short technical trial task may be requested. This role is for Senior or Lead-level mobile frontend engineers who want ownership over product quality and are comfortable working remotely. It offers a real production product, direct collaboration with the product owner, and the opportunity to grow into a Lead / Tech Leadlevel role as the product scales.
