About The Role
You will be the first dedicated seller on Edge Cognara. You'll build the playbook from scratch and own the full sales motion — in exchange for a title, compensation, and equity stake that no equivalent role at a scaled company offers. You'll report directly to the CEO.
What you'll own:
- Full sales cycle — first outreach to signed contract — for AI labs and enterprise AI buyers
- Pipeline targeting Tier 1 and Tier 2 AI labs and Fortune 500 enterprise AI teams running RLHF, evals, and agent training programs
- Direct partnership with the CEO on ICP definition, pricing, and go-to-market positioning — your read on the market shapes our decisions
- Relationships with investors, VC associates, and researchers who influence buying decisions at frontier labs
- Representation at AI conferences, research summits, and industry events
- The sales playbook — documented, tested, and ready for the next hire
What you'll need:
- 5+ years in enterprise or strategic sales; at least 2 years selling directly into AI labs, research organizations, or AI infrastructure buyers
- Existing relationships at priority accounts — AI labs, frontier model teams, or enterprise AI organizations actively running post-training or evals programs
- Track record of closing 6-figure+ contracts in a technical or emerging product category
- Enough fluency in AI/ML to hold credibility in the room: RLHF, post-training, model evaluation, reinforcement learning — you don't need to be an engineer, but you need to keep the room's respect
- A bias toward hunting and building, not maintaining existing accounts

- Experience as a first or second seller at a startup — you've seen what zero-to-one actually requires
- A network among AI researchers, ML engineers, or technical buyers that is active and trusts your judgment
