About the Role

To pursue our growth in the USA, we are hiring an experienced entrepreneurial mind based in Oregon or Washington for a: Regional Crop Imaging & Data Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Field Imaging & Data Collection (≈ 50%)
  • Build and maintain relationships with local growers, dealers, agronomists, and research collaborators to secure access for field imaging and trial monitoring.
  • Capture high-quality images of crops and field trials, documenting growth and treatment effects.
  • Operate and support Ecorobotix ARA systems in regional pilot projects, ensuring accurate agronomic and imaging data collection.
  • Conduct site visits to collect data, monitor test plots, and verify performance outcomes.
  • Support regional product specialists with agronomic training, demonstrations, and customer education.
  • Provide first-line agronomic support for machine users, including troubleshooting and data handling.
  • Manage digital data and metadata (using internal software, tablets, and cloud tools) to ensure completeness, consistency, and traceability.

  • Technical Writing & Agronomic Communications (≈ 50%)
  • Review and interpret internal and external field-trial data, scientific literature, and agronomic reports.
  • Translate findings into clear, accurate, and engaging written materials: technical bulletins, trial summaries, white papers, and marketing briefs.
  • Collaborate with agronomists, R&D, marketing, and product management to ensure accuracy and consistency across all technical communications.
  • Simplify complex trial results into actionable insights for non-technical audiences (growers, distributors, dealers).
  • Develop and maintain content libraries and version-controlled documentation.
  • Support internal training programs and prepare educational materials for sales and field teams.
  • Ensure all written content reflects Ecorobotix’s sustainability mission and precision-agronomy expertise.

50% required travel within given territory with occasional travel outside given territory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Crop and Soil Sciences: Agronomy. Consideration taken for an Agricultural CCA.
  • Two or more years of proven experience in agriculture crop and soil health.
  • Previous experience in technical writing.
  • Have a strong knowledge or interest in horticultural and agricultural plants in general.
  • Have a network of contacts in the agricultural and horticultural sector of your region.
  • Knowledge of IT tools (tablets with internal software, smartphones) to manage communications and necessary data.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Must have a passport for international travel.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of arable farming techniques (knowledge of weeds, weeding methods, different herbicide active ingredients, cultivation techniques, machinery, and the work of the producer in general).
  • Knowledge of agricultural robotics and new technologies.
  • High degree of independence, reliability, and initiative.
  • Strong team spirit with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical and structured approach to work with the ability to adapt quickly to changes.
  • Dedicated person with systematic, goal-oriented working methods.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, with clear & consistent communication.
  • Computer skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Sensitive to environmental issues and green technologies with a strong interest in innovative machines.
