Senior Financial Analyst Supply Chain (3+ Yrs, Pune, MBA / ICWA, Inventory

Role Summary

Responsible for managing and executing all Supply Chain Finance activities, reporting, and business support including inventory accounting, costing, freight accounting, and period-end close in ERP. The role requires strong ownership, and close collaboration with Supply Chain and Accounting teams

Experience: 3+ yrs

Must have skills: Supply chain finance, Inventory accounting, inventory adjustment costing system, valuation, loss, valuation adjustment), intercompany transactions, Costing Knowledge – (cost of goods). Reporting – inventory, cost variance analysis, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities ·

• Execute Supply Chain Finance activities, including inventory accounting, costing, freight accounting, and intercompany transactions. ·
• Manage month-end and quarter-end close, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations. ·
• Perform inventory accounting and reporting, including Inventory Control postings in ERP, reconciliations (GL vs subledger), inventory trend analysis, and E&O provisioning.
• Own costing activities and reporting, including standard cost updates, batch costing, variance analysis, and new product costing.
• Manage freight accounting, reclassification, allocation, and reporting across domestic, export, and intercompany transactions.
• Execute intercompany transactions, cost allocations, and margin adjustments ensuring accurate financial impact.
• Provide strong finance support to Supply Chain teams and business, enabling timely issue resolution, cost visibility.
• Support operational finance activities in ERP, including inventory adjustments, manufacturing corrections, and logistics-related postings. ·
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and controls across Supply Chain Finance processes and reporting.
• Support audit requirements (internal/statutory/tax) with reconciliations, analysis, and documentation.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives & reporting enhancements within the SCF

Key Requirements

• Experience in Supply Chain Finance / Inventory Accounting / Costing ·
• Strong hands-on experience with ERP-based postings and financial reporting Good understanding of Inventory Control, costing methodologies, and financial close processes
• Experience in process optimisation and automation initiatives (e.g., improving reporting efficiency, reducing manual interventions)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work closely with Supply Chain, Accounting teams, and business stakeholders in a deadline-driven environment
• Demonstrated learning agility and ability to adapt in a dynamic/changing environment

Preferred Profile

• Experience in manufacturing or supply chain environment
• Exposure to inventory controls, audit support, and continuous improvement initiatives
• ICWA / MBA (Core Competencies Supply Chain Finance)
