Video Editor (Part-Time to Full-Time)

We're looking for a talented Video Editor who is passionate about storytelling, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional work on time, every time.

Position Overview

This role will begin on a part-time basis with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position for the right candidate. You'll be responsible for editing a high volume of content, including both long-form horizontal videos and short-form vertical content for social media platforms.

Success in this role requires strong creative instincts, exceptional organization, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain consistent quality while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Edit a high volume of video content, including:
• Horizontal videos typically ranging from 1–3 minutes
• Short-form vertical content for social media
• Create engaging edits that maximize viewer retention and audience engagement
• Apply storytelling principles, cinematic pacing, and creative editing techniques
• Perform colour grading and audio enhancement
• Incorporate sound effects, music, and sound design elements where appropriate
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Maintain consistent quality standards across all client deliverables
• Collaborate with team members to execute content strategies and creative concepts
• Organize project files and workflows efficiently

Requirements

• Proficiency in Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve
• Strong understanding of storytelling and visual communication
• Excellent sense of pacing, timing, and audience retention
• Experience with colour correction and colour grading
• Understanding of sound design, audio mixing, and SFX integration
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Sense of urgency and accountability when managing projects
• Ability to receive feedback and implement revisions professionally

Compensation

• Part-time to start with a path to full-time employment
• Compensation range: $40,000 - $100,000+ annually based on experience, skill level, and responsibilities assumed within the company
