About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Payroll & Compensation Specialist with strong expertise in

end-to-end payroll operations, compensation structuring, benefits administration, taxation, and payroll

compliance. The candidate should have deep understanding of flexi benefit structures, salary basket

planning, compensation frameworks, and payroll governance.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing payroll and compensation processes

for a fast-growing tech organization while ensuring accuracy, compliance, confidentiality, and smooth

employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Management

● Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing with high accuracy and timely salary disbursement

● Handle payroll inputs including attendance, incentives, reimbursements, bonuses, variable pay, arrears,

and full & final settlements

● Coordinate with finance and HR teams for payroll validation and reconciliation

● Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, PT, TDS, gratuity, and other statutory requirements

● Maintain payroll records, reports, audits, and statutory documentation

Compensation & Benefits (C&B)

● Design and manage salary structures, compensation frameworks, and employee benefit programs

● Strong expertise in flexi basket structures, reimbursements, allowances, retention benefits, joining

bonus structures, and compensation planning

● Handle annual compensation revisions, promotions, increments, and variable payout structures

● Conduct salary benchmarking and market compensation analysis for technical and corporate roles

● Support leadership with compensation planning, budgeting, and policy alignment

Compliance & Taxation

● Strong understanding of payroll taxation, investment declarations, Form 16, and income tax calculations

● Ensure payroll processes remain compliant with labor laws and statutory regulations

● Support payroll audits and maintain compliance documentation

HR Operations Support

● Resolve employee payroll and compensation-related queries efficiently

● Support HR leadership in compensation and benefits policy implementation

● Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in employee compensation data management

Required Skills & Expertise

● Strong hands-on experience in payroll and compensation management

● Deep understanding of compensation structuring and employee benefits administration

● Expertise in flexi basket, salary components, reimbursements, and payroll taxation

● Excellent knowledge of payroll compliance and Indian labor laws

● Experience handling payroll for mid to large-scale organizations

● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

● Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with HRMS/payroll systems

● Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Background

● Experience working in IT, cloud, data center, or technology organizations preferred

● Exposure to fast-paced startup or growth-stage environments is an advantage

● MBA/PGDM in HR, Finance, or relevant qualification preferred
