Role Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Part-Time Maintenance Specialist with strong expertise in plumbing and electrical systems to join our team near Hyattsville, MD. In this role, you will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure the total operational readiness of our facilities. Because this role keeps our core operations running and occasionally interacts with the public, the ideal candidate pairs hands-on technical troubleshooting with a professional, customer-friendly attitude.

Schedule & Hours

Hours: 5–20 hours per week initially (based on business needs). Expect this range during the first 3–6 months of employment. Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and occasional evenings, as business needs or facility emergencies arise.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine facility maintenance, inspections, and mechanical repairs. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing, piping, and electrical systems. Assist in ensuring payment kiosks and point-of-sale facility hardware remain operational. Respond to facility issues efficiently while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor during high-volume periods. Maintain a clean, safe site and strictly adhere to company safety standards.

Position Requirements & Qualifications

Industry Experience: Car wash industry or automated equipment maintenance experience is highly preferred. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency and hands-on experience in plumbing, pipe repair, and electrical troubleshooting. Customer Service: Strong people skills; ability to communicate clearly and courteously with both team members and customers. Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred. Legal: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs without assistance. Mobility: Comfort with frequent ladder use, climbing, bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods. Work Environment: Ability to work outdoors and remain efficient in all weather conditions. Site Conditions: Must be comfortable working on feet in a fast-paced environment with wet/moving surfaces and varying noise levels (including loud machinery and tools).Safety: Commitment to using personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and protective eyewear as required.
