The Role

We’re looking for a creative, organized, and self-driven Social Media & Design Specialist to run our clients’ social media and design work day to day. You’ll be the hands-on engine behind the content our clients see, developing ideas, designing the assets, scheduling and boosting, and reporting on what worked.

This is a contract role with real variety: steady monthly social work plus one-off design projects. It’s fully remote with flexible hours and there’s a genuine path to grow, in hours and scope and eventually into a lead role of your own, as we grow.

What You’ll Own

  • Manage client social accounts end-to-end including content ideas, design, scheduling, boosting, and day-to-day management
  • Design clean, on-brand graphics and short-form video / reels (each client has its own brand to honour)
  • Build monthly content into client approval docs, handle revisions, and schedule approved posts
  • Produce clear monthly performance reports
  • Build and send email newsletters
  • Bring ideas to the table before you’re asked
  • Take on one-off projects as they arise i.e. flyers, menus, branded assets, and more

What You Bring

  • Strong design skills in Canva, with a good eye for clean, on-brand visuals
  • Design experience, with samples or a small portfolio to show
  • Hands-on social media experience, from ideas through reporting
  • Short-form video / reels experience
  • A genuine go-getter mentality
  • Strong written & verbal communication and attention to detail
  • Reliable and self-motivated working independently, remotely

Nice To Have

  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Scheduling and analytics tools (we use Metricool)
  • Email platforms (HubSpot, Mailchimp, FloDesk, or similar)
  • Experience with hospitality or professional-services clients

The Details

  • Contract position, with a path to full-time
  • ~15–30 hours/week to start, variable with workload
  • Fully remote (must be eligible to work in Canada)
  • $30–$35/hour, depending on experience
  • Start: immediate
