JOB DESCRIPTION – Photographer

About the Role

Digenie is looking for a creative and detail-driven Photographer who can capture high-quality reels, product photos, behind-the-scenes content, and also edit videos, reels, and promotional posters using the media captured. This role combines on-ground shooting with end-to-end content creation for social media and brand campaigns.

Key ResponsibilitiesPhotography & Videography

• Shoot product photos, lifestyle photos, studio shots, and campaign images.
• Capture vertical video content (reels, shorts, BTS, testimonials).
• Set up and manage lighting, composition, and camera settings for different types of shoots.
• Handle indoor studio shoots and outdoor/location shoots as required.

Content Editing

• Edit reels, short videos, and social media content with transitions, sound effects, colour grading, and basic motion graphics.
• Edit photos for clarity, colour correction, and brand consistency.
• Design simple marketing posters, thumbnails, story creatives, etc.
• Maintain organised storage of raw and edited files.

Content Execution & Support

• Coordinate with the creative team on shoot plans, concepts, and brand guidelines.
• Suggest creative ideas and trends for improving content output.
• Deliver timely edits and maintain consistent content quality.

Required SkillsTechnical Skills

• Strong experience in photography (product + lifestyle).
• Strong experience in videography, especially handheld and gimbal shooting.
• Proficient in:
• Adobe Premiere Pro / Final Cut / DaVinci Resolve
• Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom
• Canva (for posters, if needed)
• Knowledge of framing, lighting, colour theory, and storytelling.

Additional Advantage (Not Mandatory)

• Motion graphics / simple animations (After Effects).
• Sound design and audio clean-up.
• Knowledge of social-media-first editing styles.

Expectations

• Must work full-time on-site at Egmore (Digenie).
• Flexible to shoot on some weekends if campaigns require (compensatory off provided).
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of deliverables.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to take and implement feedback.

Qualification & Experience

• 1–5 years of experience in photography/videography/editing (freshers with a solid portfolio can also apply).
• A portfolio demonstrating photography + reel/video editing work is mandatory.
