National insurer seeks an experienced Underwriter to join the Excess & Surplus business unit focusing on Specialty Contractors including HVAC, Fire Suppression, Pest Control, Landscapers, Siders, Roofers, Plumbers, Fence Installers, etc.

Duties

• Underwrite coverages including General Liability GL, Professional Liability PL, Excess Liability, Commercial Auto, Workers' Compensation WC, Property Damage, and Pollution.
• Handle an existing segment portfolio of Specialty Contractor business.
• Cultivate and maintain key broker relationships to maintain underwriting appetite.
• Communicate and assist with implementation of underwriting strategy.
• Meet with insureds and brokers to cross market and sell products.

Responsibilities

• Bachelors degree.
• 7+ years of Excess & Surplus Underwriting experience.
• Ability to handle complex accounts across general classes.
