Handle Toxic Tort, Environmental, Pollution, and Asbestos claims of moderate to high value and complexity.
- Analyze coverage, liability, and damages.
- Draft reservation of rights and coverage denial letters.
- Determine exposure and set appropriate reserves.
- Review complaints and other legal pleadings and discovery.
- Participate in mediations and negotiate settlements.
- Direct activities of defense counsel.
- Draft case summary reports for significant reserve increases and trial preparation.
- Notify underwriting department of claim issues.
