Dining Services - Dining Hall

Job Summary/Basic Function

The position is responsible for cleanliness and aesthetics of all dining services areas in the front-of-house and back-of house. Duties include waste and recycling removal; sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping floors; assisting culinary team and retail operations staff with cleaning of equipment; pot and pan/utensil ware washing operations; restroom maintenance; shampooing carpet and waxing/sealing floors; cleaning of receiving dock areas to include washing dumpsters and sweeping parking lot areas.

Essential Functions

• Operates the dish machine and all related equipment according to the guidelines established by the department.
• Maintains the dish machine, all related equipment and all work areas in a clean sanitary manner.
• Observes all safety and sanitation policies established by the department.
• Works with and trains all college and high school student employees in the correct operation of the dish machine and related areas and equipment.'

Other Duties

• Emergency Response Designation: This position is designated as "emergency response personnel." "Emergency response personnel" are required to report to work when the college is delayed or closed. "Emergency response personnel" may be called in at any time of day to respond to weather and / or other types of emergencies as needed.
• Scheduled scrubbing of equipment, floors and scheduled cleaning of dish carts.
