Job Description
The Education, Energy & Sustainability team is seeking an Associate to support the delivery of client engagements, business development initiatives, and administrative functions of the team. In this role, the Associate will develop client deliverables, including reports, presentations, stakeholder maps, and market analyses. Reporting directly to the practice’s Lead Partner, the Associate will also support business development efforts and play an important role in ensuring the effective administrative operation of the team, including scheduling meetings, coordinating with other DGA practices on business development and client service initiatives, and helping implement firm-wide initiatives across the team.
Location
Washington, D.C. (hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office)
Responsibilities
- Work directly with and learn from subject-matter experts on how to advise clients, navigate geopolitical trends, analyze new markets, and identify and engage key stakeholders
- Draft client deliverables, including reports, presentations, stakeholder maps, market analyses, and related materials
- Learn foundational problem-solving and analytical skills
- Collaborate with other regional and sectoral practices on client service and business development initiatives, including conducting background research on potential clients, drafting scopes of work, and developing presentation decks
- Play an important role in the team’s administrative operations, including scheduling meetings, coordinating logistics, and supporting administrative housekeeping
- Manage interns on the team, providing guidance on client service, research, and business development workstreams
- Contribute to firm development initiatives

Qualifications
- 0-2 years of relevant prior professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent and relevant work experience
- Highly proficient in PowerPoint and other MS Office tools.
- Excellent presentation, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proactive approach to networking and stakeholder engagement
- Entrepreneurial mindset with creative, solution-oriented, problem-solving skills
