Software (Python) Developer

**Per client requirement, candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with a full scope polygraph***

Location: Herndon

Position Description:

Signature is looking for a driven software developer in Herndon, VA to join an elite team of Software Developers, Data Engineers, and System Engineers who are developing and deploying unprecedented capabilities for the Intelligence Community.

Responsibilities will include:

Understand requirements, design and develop software components
Research software concepts, develop and demo proof of concept
Work with the team members to understand the current product features
Develop automated unit/integration tests
Participate in code reviews
Participate in the project’s agile process
Effectively communicate among developers, as well as with end-users on a limited basis
Possess excellent problem-solving skills and be detail-oriented and performance-driven
Commitment to continuous process improvement concerning software integration efforts and CI/CD Pipeline

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
6+ years of software development experience
3+ years practical experience developing with Python
Experience in SQL and database management
Experience in front-end / full stack development
Experience with Version Control Systems such as Git
Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration
Understanding of Linux/Unix operating system environments

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent
Experience with Agile development, daily SCRUM, JIRA
Experience with Node.js
