Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements.
Education
GS-12 and GS-13: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at this grade level.
OR
Experience
GS-12 and GS-13: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
GS-12:
- Experience working as a member of a continuous improvement team in an FPI project to improve productivity and quality.
- Experience as a team member contributing to the establishment of goals for continuous improvement projects.
- Experience with applying Lean Six Sigma methodology and tools that yield improvements to production or quality.
GS-13:
- Experience monitoring continuous improvement projects in the FPI associated with improving productivity and quality.
- Experience establishing direction and goals for continuous improvement projects.
- Experience with the deployment of Lean Six Sigma methodology and tools to achieve continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience developing plans and time lines or milestone charts to achieve objectives for continuous improvement projects.
AND
Selective Placement Factor:
GS-12 and GS-13: Applicants applying for this position MUST also possess the following Selective Placement Factor. In the event you do not possess the Selective Placement Factor, you will be found ineligible for the position.
- Applicant must possess a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
