Job Description
Job Posting: Recruitment Agency Manager (Portfolio & Delivery)
Location: Remote (Must be based in the Greater Toronto Area for regular in-person meetings)
Position Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Director & President
About the Role
Our Toronto-based recruitment firm is experiencing a surge in volume. To sustain our growth and maintain our high standards of service, we are looking for a high-performing Recruitment Agency Manager.
This is not a role where you will be building from scratch; instead, you will take immediate ownership of a distinct portion of our existing client portfolio. You will act as the primary strategic partner for these accounts—managing the relationships, uncovering new business opportunities within them (Account Management/BD), and leading a team to ensure seamless recruitment delivery.
If you are an intuitive, fiercely independent problem-solver who thrives on execution and autonomy, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
💼 Account Management & Business Development
- Portfolio Ownership: Take full accountability for a designated segment of existing client accounts, serving as their primary point of contact.
- Relationship Cultivation: Deepen client relationships through regular communication, performance reviews, and proactive consultation.
- Organic Growth: Identify expansion opportunities within your portfolio by cross-selling services or mapping out new hiring needs within client departments.
⚙️ Recruitment Delivery Management
- End-to-End Delivery: Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle for your portfolio's requisitions, ensuring high-quality talent pipelines and swift time-to-fill metrics.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and direct the daily workflows of recruitment team members assigned to your accounts.
- Resource Allocation: Dynamically prioritize job orders and assign resources based on urgency and revenue impact.
📈 Strategy & Operations
- Problem-Solving: Proactively address delivery bottlenecks, client objections, or market challenges with creative, data-driven solutions.
- Local Engagement: Attend regular in-person client meetings, strategy sessions, and internal team touchpoints across the Toronto area.
- Autonomy: Operate with a high degree of independence, making critical decisions regarding account strategy and team management.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years of experience within an agency recruitment environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership, account management, or team lead capacity.
- Location Flexibility: Ability to work effectively from home, paired with the willingness to travel into Toronto regularly for client and team meetings.
- The "Intangibles":
- High Intuition & Initiative: You don't wait for instructions; you anticipate client needs and team roadblocks before they happen.
- Exceptional Communication: Sharp negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong Problem-Solving: A proven track record of turning struggling accounts around or solving complex hiring challenges.
- Tools: Familiarity with modern ATS/CRM platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and collaborative remote tools (Slack, Teams, etc.).
What We Offer
- Autonomy & Trust: A fully remote setup where you are trusted to run your portfolio like your own business.
- Warm Portfolio: Immediate access to established, revenue-generating client relationships.
- Competitive Compensation: Base salary plus a lucrative commission/bonus structure tied to portfolio performance and growth.
- Collaborative Culture: A supportive, high-energy team environment with regular in-person touchpoints in the GTA.
