Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Medical Practice Manager to lead the efficient operation of a busy healthcare facility. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily administrative functions, coordinate clinical staff, manage financial processes including revenue cycle management, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the medical practice sites, including scheduling, patient flow, and administrative workflows.
- Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, billing, coding, and revenue cycle processes using systems.
- Supervise clinical and administrative staff, providing guidance in human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize clinic operations, including acute care and hospital experience integration when applicable.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to streamline documentation and improve patient care delivery.
- Oversee office management tasks such as supply procurement, facility maintenance, and vendor relations.
- Lead efforts in managed care negotiations, utilization management, and ensuring adherence to healthcare policies.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and billing procedures to support efficient practice workflows.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare management with a strong background in primary care setting.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams in a medical environment.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with Elation or similar software is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, billing practices, and revenue cycle management.
- Excellent understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management best practices.
- Experience in managing human resources functions within a healthcare setting.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
