Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely deliveries. This role is essential for maintaining efficient shipping and receiving processes, supporting our commitment to excellent service delivery. The Dispatcher will work closely with internal teams and external partners to optimize routes, track shipments, and resolve any logistical issues that arise.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transportation schedules using Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
• Manage freight shipments, ensuring compliance with shipping & receiving protocols.
• Utilize multi-line phone systems to communicate with drivers, clients, and internal departments, demonstrating professional phone etiquette.
• Perform data entry related to shipments, delivery schedules, and inventory updates with high accuracy through typing and analysis skills.
• Monitor supply chain activities, including third-party logistics (3PL) providers, to ensure seamless freight movement.
• Analyze shipping data to identify inefficiencies or delays and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of shipments, delivery statuses, and related documentation for reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams on shipping & receiving operations to optimize flow of goods.
• Assist in problem-solving transportation issues by providing clear communication and quick resolution strategies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), particularly Axon.
• Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in phone etiquette - all while being efficient and concise.
• Skilled in data entry, typing accuracy, and analysis skills for handling shipment information efficiently.
• Familiarity with multi-line phone systems for managing multiple communications simultaneously.
• Knowledge of 3PL operations and freight coordination is preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
