4th Grade Math & Science Teacher

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for math and science at the 4th-grade level.
• Deliver engaging, interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, incorporating technology and hands-on activities.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation.
• Foster a classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management, social-emotional development, and inclusive learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum development initiatives, integrate literacy education, and enhance overall instructional quality.
• Provide individualized support through tutoring or mentoring to students needing extra assistance or early intervention.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.

Qualifications

• Proven classroom experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of math concepts, science principles, and literacy education suitable for 4th-grade students.
• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment strategies.
• Familiarity with learning technology tools, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
• Knowledge of special education needs, including working with students with autism or in early intervention programs.
• Excellent communication skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
• Certification or licensure in elementary education or relevant teaching credentials preferred.
• Nice-to-have skills include experience in private schools, Montessori methods, library services integration, tutoring expertise, and proficiency in writing skills for educational content. Pay: $65,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year
