Procurement Specialist is needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client onsite in Springfield, VA

Contract period:6 months contract to hire

Job Description

Typical duties include supplier contract negotiation and administration, supplier development and sourcing, supply base diversity initiatives, cost management, supplier relationship management, supplier contract regulatory compliance, DFARS Purchasing System compliance, and supplier contract risk management.

Independently manages larger, moderately complex projects and assignments.

Sets objectives for assigned work to support overall project and organizational goals.

May assist and provide guidance to other professionals on tasks and assignments.

Knowledge & Qualifications

Requires practical knowledge of the professional discipline, typically gained through advanced education and relevant experience.

General understanding of industry practices, standards, and compliance requirements.

Typical Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience, or

Master’s degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience.

Employment Pre-requisites

The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: successful completion of a background investigation, and drug urinalysis.
