You will be part of the Asset-Backed Securities team in the Financial Research group at our Bengaluru/Hyderabad office. The team focuses on providing support for new business development and strategy research to enhance decision-making processes for the global Asset-Backed Securities team. Your role will involve fundamental research on specific companies and subsectors in Specialty Finance/CRE, including financial modeling, benchmarking, and attending earnings calls. You will collaborate with the global team on research projects and work closely with technology development teams to aid data analysis efforts.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform fundamental research on specific companies and subsectors in Specialty Finance/CRE
- Model and update company financial models
- Conduct benchmarking of operational and valuation metrics versus peer group
- Attend quarterly earnings/management/intermediary calls
- Collaborate on research projects with the global team
- Aid Front Office data analysis efforts by working closely with technology development teams
- *Qualifications Required:**
- Master's degree in finance or CFA with 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Strong financial modeling and accounting skills
- Equity research experience in Specialty Finance sectors, CRE/REITs, and/or Financials
- Working knowledge of structured products such as ABS, CLO, RMBS, CMBS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to interact effectively with stakeholders
