Data Analyst/Executive- Immediate Joiners only

The Data Operations Executive is responsible for maintaining high levels of data accuracy and integrity within the company’s back-office systems, while also supporting structured reporting, benchmarking and performance analysis.

This role combines structured, high-volume data processing with analytical reporting responsibilities. Approximately 60% of the role focuses on data operations and system updates, with 40% focused on reporting, dashboard creation and performance tracking.

The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong numeracy, advanced Excel capability, and the ability to translate raw operational data into meaningful performance insight.

Key Responsibilities

Data Operations & System Updates (Approx. 60%)

• Enter and maintain pricing updates, rate changes and surcharge amendments within back-office systems
• Update schedule changes and service configuration amendments
• Maintain structured audit trails and version control
• Validate data inputs against source documentation
• Perform structured data reconciliation checks
• Identify and escalate discrepancies or inconsistencies
• Ensure data accuracy across multiple operational systems
• Support structured data governance processes

Accuracy and attention to detail are critical to this element of the role.

Data Validation & Quality Control

• Conduct routine checks to ensure system data integrity
• Perform margin and pricing validation exercises
• Identify trends or anomalies in operational datasets
• Support root cause analysis for recurring data issues
• Assist in improving quality control frameworks

Reporting & Performance Analysis (Approx. 40%)

• Extract operational and commercial data from internal systems
• Collate and structure data for reporting purposes
• Produce weekly and monthly performance reports
• Track KPIs against agreed benchmarks
• Highlight performance variances and emerging trends
• Assist in establishing internal company benchmarks

Dashboard & Analytics Support

• Build and maintain dashboards in:
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Metabase, Power BI or similar tools
• Develop structured Pivot-based reporting models
• Support automation of recurring reports
• Present data in a clear and logical visual format

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to streamline data workflows
• Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities
• Support scalable reporting structures as business volume grows

Technical Skills & Experience

Essential

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills:
• Pivot Tables
• XLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH
• SUMIFS / COUNTIFS
• Data validation tools
• Conditional formatting
• Strong numerical capability and analytical thinking
• Experience handling structured data in operational systems
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage high-volume updates without compromising quality

• Experience with Metabase, Power BI or other BI tools
• Exposure to logistics, freight, shipping or transport sectors
