Job Description CSA – Music Teacher Purpose of Role The Music Teacher is responsible for developing students' musical knowledge, skills, and creativity through engaging and structured music instruction. The role involves teaching vocal and/or instrumental music, fostering an appreciation for diverse musical traditions, preparing students for performances and competitions, and supporting the school's cultural, artistic, and co-curricular initiatives. CSA – Music Teacher - Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging music lessons for students across assigned grade levels. Teach vocal and/or instrumental music, including music theory, rhythm, melody, and performance techniques. Develop students' musical skills, creativity, confidence, and appreciation for music. Prepare students for assemblies, annual day celebrations, cultural programs, competitions, and special events. Organize and conduct choir, band, and music club activities. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support development. Maintain records of student participation, performance, and achievements. Encourage student participation in music-related activities and performances. Ensure proper care, maintenance, and storage of musical instruments and equipment. Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment. Collaborate with teachers and coordinators to support school events and interdisciplinary activities. Support cultural programs, celebrations, and co-curricular initiatives of the school. Stay updated with current music education practices and teaching methodologies. Participate in staff meetings, professional development programs, and school activities. Communicate student progress and performance with parents when required.
