We're looking for an experienced Senior C++ Software Engineer with an entrepreneurial flair who thrives on developing and designing software as well as participating in technical discussions. Our ideal candidate is someone who is personable, integrity-driven, hardworking, has great communication skills, is adaptable, is a team player, and is passionate about cybersecurity. As a Senior C++ Software Engineer at CryptoMill Cybersecurity Solutions, you will be responsible for writing and coding individual programs, joining brainstorming sessions, presenting to clients, and more. Must live and be able to work in Toronto.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret business requirements and technical specifications.
- Design APIs to encompass service functionality.
- Perform coding to technical specifications.
- Investigate, analyze and document reported defects.
- Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
- Review and debug code
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products
- Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies
- Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates.
- Participate in technical and brainstorming sessions with the team
- Co-lead presentations, demo our software, and answer client questions
Skills / Attributes Required
- Minimum of 6-8 years of proven engineering experience in C/C++ and C#
- Extensive experience in software development, scripting, and project management
- Must have an interest and show passion for cybersecurity, information security, and the technology industry
- Excellent communication skills, adaptable, and strong problem-solving skills
- Multithreading (concurrent) programming abilities
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience in using CI/CD tools
- System-level application/services programming experience
- Knowledge of database architecture and design
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and design patterns
- Internationalization experience is a plus
- Ability to interpret requirements and technical specifications.
- Ability to code software according to published standards and design guidelines
