Software Engineer, Clinical Data (TypeScript, FHIR/HL7)

Location: Seattle, WA

Commitment: Full-Time

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build robust TypeScript/Node.js backend services to support EHR integrations across clinical data platforms
  • Architect integration pipelines using HL7 v2, FHIR, and EHR APIs to enable interoperability between health record systems
  • Deploy and scale microservices on AWS with containerization, implementing data validation, monitoring, and HIPAA-compliant security controls
  • Contribute to code reviews and system-design discussions, collaborating with product managers on clinical workflow solutions
  • Leverage coding-assistance tools to accelerate development velocity and maintain high engineering standards

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in TypeScript and Node.js building production-grade backend systems
  • Strong experience in FHIR, HL7 v2, and clinical data integration within healthcare startup or health-data platform environments
  • Strong experience in RESTful and event-driven API design and implementation
  • Strong experience in microservices architecture and cloud-native scaling using AWS and/or Kubernetes
  • Strong experience in computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and distributed systems
  • Strong experience in OAuth2.0 and/or SMART on FHIR authentication flows (preferred) Application Process
