I. Role Summary
The Field Agronomist represents CropMentor Technologies Pvt. Ltd. at the ground level. The FA’s primary responsibility is to establish direct relationships with farmers, explain the Company's Contract Farming Model, achieve targets for Vermicompost sales, and assist in the crop buy-back process. This role is 100% Result-Oriented and highly accountability-driven.
II. Core Responsibilities
A. Sales and Contract Acquisition
- Farmer Onboarding: Actively identify, approach, and motivate new farmers to enroll in the Contract Farming program.
- Target Achievement: Aggressively meet and exceed the daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for the Vermicompost product.
- Advance Payment Collection: Ensure the successful and timely collection of 100% advance payment for Vermicompost from the farmer, as mandated by the agreement.
- Contract Execution: Facilitate the process of executing formal Contract Farming Agreements (including the buy-back clause) with farmers.
- Lead Generation: Generate new sales leads through door-to-door visits and organized farmer meetings within the assigned micro-territory.
B. Customer Service and Technical Compliance
- Technical Guidance: Educate farmers on the application of Vermicompost, the cultivation of the Directed Crop, and adherence to company-approved technical standards.
- Compliance Monitoring: Conduct regular farm visits to monitor and ensure that farmers are strictly adhering to the terms of the agreement and technical guidelines.
- Buy-Back Assistance: Assist the TM and RSM during harvest with quality verification and the final crop procurement process.
C. Reporting and Administration
- Daily Reporting: Provide detailed daily reports to the Territory Manager (TM) on farmer visits, sales progress, and the status of payments collected.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales transactions, farmer data, and contract copies.
- Market Feedback: Collect and communicate feedback to the TM regarding pricing, product performance, and farmer concerns in the market.
III. Required Qualifications
Graduation in any discipline or a Diploma in Agricultural Science.
Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of proven Field Sales experience in Agri-Input, Microfinance, or Direct Sales.
Skills: Excellent communication (Hindi and local dialect), negotiation skills, and a strong target-oriented approach.
Other: In-depth knowledge of the local area, personal two-wheeler is mandatory, and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
