Role Overview: As the Senior Powertrain & Systems Engineer at CREATARA, you will hold a critical leadership position responsible for architecting, developing, and validating advanced power electronic systems. Your role will involve spearheading innovation within electrified powertrains, focusing on high-performance 2-wheeler EVs, integrated charging architectures, and sophisticated energy management systems. You are expected to bridge the gap between ambitious vehicle performance targets and rigorous hardware execution within the extreme packaging constraints of a compact 2-wheeler frame. Core Responsibilities: - Powertrain Strategy & System Sizing - Performance Translation: Translate vehicle-level performance targets into definitive technical specifications for motor and battery systems. - System Sizing & Topology: Architect powertrain topology for 48V/72V systems. Evaluate and select ideal motor configurations based on torque-speed curves, power requirements, and thermal limitations. - Battery Configuration: Define battery capacity and cell configuration balancing range targets against space and weight constraints. - C-Rate & Current Analysis: Conduct rigorous analysis of peak current demands to ensure battery management system efficiency. - High Voltage (HV) Harness & Distribution - Harness Architecture: Design HV paths and wiring harnesses for the high-vibration environment of a 2-wheeler frame. - Connector & Component Selection: Select compact, vibration-proof HV connectors and switchgear for safety. - Thermal & Safety Management: Implement cooling strategies for power semiconductors and battery interconnects. - Charging System Design & Interoperability - Charging Architecture: Architect On-Board Chargers vs. Off-Board DC Fast Charging for 48V/72V battery environments. - Standardization Compliance: Implement India-specific standards for unified AC/DC charging. - Grid Resilience & Protection: Engineer robust protection circuits for system resilience. Qualifications & Experience: - Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Automotive Engineering, or related technical field. - Professional Experience: 2 years hands-on experience in power electronics within the automotive or EV domain. - Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in first-principles engineering, power distribution, and high-voltage protection within EV architectures.
