Role Summary:
CPP Investments is hiring an Analyst, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) on an 8-month contract. Working with the EDI team and partners across the organization, the Analyst will advance enterprise EDI priorities by supporting programs, initiatives, and partnerships. This role contributes to embedding inclusion across the employee lifecycle through data-driven insights and continuous improvement of EDI practices. This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative individual to contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives, work with senior stakeholders, and help shape an inclusive, high-performing culture.
Accountabilities & Qualifications:
Accountabilities
- Support the execution of the global EDI strategy by coordinating initiatives, tracking progress, and ensuring alignment across teams.
- Independently manage components of EDI initiatives and projects, including planning, coordination, tracking timelines, and delivering high-quality outputs while identifying and escalating risks.
- Collaborate with Talent and other contributors to support the integration of EDI into organizational processes (e.g., recruitment, development, engagement, benefits).
- Advise Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) on leading practices, governance, and operational effectiveness to ensure alignment with enterprise EDI priorities.
- Support benchmark, regulatory and compliance reporting (e.g., Employment Equity Act, Accessible Canada Act, EDGE certification), ensuring data accuracy and audit readiness.
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize EDI insights, translating findings into reports and presentations tailored to stakeholder needs and decision-making.
- Conduct research on EDI best practices and translate findings into actionable recommendations to enhance programs and processes.
- Support the development of internal communications and materials that promote awareness and engagement in EDI initiatives.
- Support relationships with external partners and vendors, including contract coordination and monitoring of budgets and expenditures.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to the Group Head (e.g., calendar alignment, travel logistics, expense management, onboarding coordination), offering exposure to senior leadership priorities and broader organizational context.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or college diploma in related field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in EDI, HR, project management, or a related area.
- Knowledge of equity, diversity, and inclusion workplace principles and practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across functions and levels.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data visualization and AI tools is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
