Summary: We are seeking an experienced Data Architect who will be responsible for enterprise-wide data design, balancing optimization of data access with batch loading and resource utilization factors. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and data marts, focusing on enterprise-wide data modeling and database design.
Responsibilities:
- Define data architecture standards, policies, and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes, and nomenclature of data elements.
- Apply accepted data content standards to technology projects.
- Conduct business analysis, data acquisition, and access analysis and design.
- Optimize Database Management Systems and develop recovery and load strategy designs and implementations.
- Lead and plan database architectures for enterprise systems.
- Work on multiple projects as a project leader or subject matter expert.
- Address projects/issues of high complexity requiring in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.
- Coach and mentor junior technical staff.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience with large and complex database management systems.
- Expertise in defining and planning database architectures for enterprise systems.
- Proven ability to work on projects/issues of high complexity.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior staff.
