Summary: We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Engineer to manage engineering and analytical tasks within the telecommunications function. This role involves network design, implementation, diagnostics, and user support, ensuring the seamless operation of telecom network systems and high-performance connectivity.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain telecommunications network systems for local, off-site, and remote locations.
- Configure, deploy, test, and troubleshoot network components to ensure a secure and efficient telecom network.
- Perform quality assurance and testing of transmission mediums and infrastructure components.
- Serve as a technical specialist/lead to resolve complex network issues.
- Support tasks including moves, adds, changes, fault isolation, resolution, and end-user support.
- Collaborate on moderate to complex projects, possibly leading teams and mentoring junior staff.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of IT experience in telecommunications within multi-platform environments.
- Broad knowledge of telecom systems, dial plans, switching architecture, telephony, and wiring.
- Proven experience in technical support and maintenance for existing and new telecommunications services.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team on complex projects.
