Mental Health Specialist

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mental Health Specialist role based in the Greater Kolkata Area. The Mental Health Specialist will support employee well-being by providing individual consultations, brief counseling, and referrals to appropriate external resources when needed. Day-to-day tasks include assessing mental health concerns, maintaining confidential case records, and coordinating follow-up support in collaboration with HR and leadership. The role involves designing and delivering mental health awareness sessions, workshops, and group interventions tailored to a creative, fast-paced agency environment. The Mental Health Specialist will also assist in developing organization-wide mental health policies, crisis response protocols, and wellness initiatives that foster a psychologically safe and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mental Health Care and Mental Health, with the ability to assess needs, identify concerns, and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Knowledge of Psychology, including understanding of stress, burnout, and workplace dynamics in creative and marketing environments.
• Experience with Case Management, including maintaining confidential records, coordinating referrals, and tracking follow-up support.
• Demonstrated skills in Crisis Intervention, with the ability to respond calmly and effectively to urgent mental health situations.
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related mental health field (or equivalent relevant experience).
• Prior experience in employee assistance programs, counseling centers, or workplace mental health initiatives is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills, with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain strict confidentiality, and work with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Comfort delivering workshops, training sessions, and awareness programs to small and large groups.
• Familiarity with local mental health resources and regulations in India is an advantage.
