Role: VP – Technology
Location: Mumbai (Malad)
Role Overview The VP – Technology will own the end-to-end technology vision, architecture, and execution for AdTech platforms. This role requires deep experience in DSP/DMP ecosystems , high-scale, low-latency systems , and data-driven advertising platforms , while leading engineering teams to deliver reliable, performant, and future-ready products.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Leadership & Strategy
- Define and execute the long-term technology roadmap aligned with AdTech and affiliate advertising growth strategy.
- Drive architectural decisions for DSP, DMP, tracking, attribution, and optimization platforms.
- Ensure platforms are built for scale, performance, security, and high availability.
Engineering & Platform Ownership
- Lead development of low-latency, high-throughput systems handling real-time ad delivery and data processing.
- Oversee backend and platform engineering using Java, Python, PHP, and modern frameworks.
- Champion cloud-native architecture on GCP, including scalability, cost optimization, and reliability.
- Establish best practices for system design, code quality, CI/CD, observability, and incident management.
AdTech & Data Systems
- Build and evolve DSP/DMP capabilities, including audience segmentation, bidding logic, campaign management, and reporting.
- Partner closely with Product and Data teams on AI/ML initiatives (optimization, fraud detection, targeting, performance prediction).
- Ensure strong data pipelines and real-time analytics for decision-making.
People & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams.
- Work closely with Product, Business, Sales, and Operations to translate business goals into scalable technology solutions.
- Act as a senior stakeholder in executive discussions and technology-driven decision-making.
Required Skills
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong background in AdTech / MarTech, preferably with hands-on exposure to DSP, DMP, or Affiliate Advertising platforms.
- Proven experience building low-latency, high-scale applications.
- Deep expertise in Java and Python; working knowledge of PHP is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of system architecture, APIs, databases, caching, messaging, and performance tuning.
