Role Overview
The Senior Director of Sales Operations, Americas is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, operational excellence, and strategic alignment across Cision’s three product families — Cision, Brandwatch, and PR Newswire — in the Americas region. This role serves as a key operational leader and strategic advisor, partnering closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, Americas, to optimize processes, enhance sales productivity, and enable data-driven decision-making.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, Americas.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success leadership.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations on revenue performance.
- Support strategic planning sessions with regional leadership teams.
- Revenue Planning & Forecasting
- Lead quotas, headcount, and territory planning processes.
- Own in-quarter revenue forecasting accuracy.
- Build models to support scenario planning and growth strategy evaluation.
- Create and maintain executive dashboards and reporting.
- Revenue Process Optimization
- Own and improve the end-to-end revenue lifecycle.
- Design and implement standardized sales processes.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks to improve conversion rates.
- Manage territory alignment and coverage models.
- Sales Effectiveness & Analytics
- Develop and monitor sales performance metrics.
- Analyze sales productivity data for improvement opportunities.
- Provide insights on sales capacity planning and organizational design.
- Support the development of sales plays and programs.
- Data & Analytics Leadership
- Serve as the data steward for revenue-related metrics.
- Build analytical models to identify trends and risks.
- Deliver executive-level reports and presentations.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with various teams on optimizing processes.
- Work with Marketing on lead management and conversion.
- Align with CS Operations on customer health metrics.
- Collaborate on budgeting and financial modeling.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop one Revenue Operations Analyst.
- Foster a culture of analytical rigor and continuous improvement.
- Delegate effectively while maintaining oversight of deliverables.
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years in Revenue Operations or related strategic roles.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in operations.
- Experience supporting multi-product organizations.
- Advanced proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel and BI tools.
