We are seeking a high-impact Plant Manager to lead a sophisticated manufacturing facility dedicated to sustainable building solutions. This is a critical leadership role for a professional who possesses a "construction lens"—someone who understands not just how a product is manufactured, but how it performs on a live job site for the tradespeople who rely on it.

Our client is a leader in the prefabricated space, looking for a bridge-builder who can translate executive strategy into shop-floor excellence while maintaining high team morale.

Your Mission

You will oversee all daily operations, from factory logistics to production scheduling, ensuring the facility exceeds customer expectations for quality and efficiency.

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Director of Manufacturing to align plant operations with company-wide priorities.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop systems to track productivity, analyze data for waste, and optimize return on assets.
  • Team Advocacy: Act as the primary link between leadership and the floor, advocating for employees while ensuring company goals are embraced by the team.
  • Budget Ownership: Manage operational costs including project materials, labor, shop supplies, and equipment maintenance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with manufacturing best practices and implement creative solutions to make operations leaner and faster.

What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who anticipates bottlenecks before they arise.

  • Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing with an extensive background in prefabricated construction .
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to read construction drawings, discuss design concepts, and utilize a high degree of computer literacy.
  • Leadership Grit: Proven ability to build trust, create accountability, and handle progressive disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Safety & Stewardship: Deep knowledge of safety standards, quality control, and sustainable "green" manufacturing processes.

Work Environment

  • Primary work is performed within a manufacturing plant environment (subject to noise and dust).
  • Occasional travel to construction sites to observe product applications and customer needs.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, or in varying weather conditions as needed.
