Duties

  • Develop and oversee transportation strategies, including freight management, fleet management, and dispatching to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries.
  • Plan demand forecasting, to align with operational needs.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards protocols and maintain accurate documentation for all activities.

Skills

  • Strong background in leading highly unionized workforce and operations management with hands-on experience in transportation planning.
  • Proficiency in data analysis skills to interpret logistics data, optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities such as dispatching, picking & packing, procurement, and category management.
  • Ability to lead process improvement projects and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, carriers, and stakeholders across the operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with....

  • Food Manufacturing environment highly regulated by Health Canada
  • Knowledge of airport operations management ideally airside

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
