Job Summary / Role Overview
As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing and optimising the finance function. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will ensure strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and efficient processes across multiple entities.
This role combines hands-on financial management with strategic input, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both operational execution and contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including reconciliations, bookkeeping, accounts payable, and associate payments
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts with accuracy and timeliness
- Act as the first point of contact for external financial queries
- Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and other statutory requirements
- Collaborate with outsourced finance providers and professional advisors
- Manage payroll inputs and coordinate with HR teams
- Leverage financial tools (e.g., Xero ecosystem) to generate actionable insights
- Support the Finance Director with: Financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, Statutory reporting requirements, Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting, Automation and process improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with relevant hands-on experience
- Strong proficiency in Xero, Dext, Excel, and Fathom
- Demonstrated experience in a similar finance role, ideally in a multi-entity environment
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to manage priorities independently
- Integrity, emotional intelligence, and a calm, professional approach
Preferred Skills
- Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or multi-site businesses
- Exposure to financial systems automation and process optimisation
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with outsourced finance teams
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 2:30 PM IST to 11:30 PM IST (9:00 AM GMT to 6:00 PM GMT)
